Farm Updates
September 5th Update
We are so abundantly blessed! The Lord is moving mightily at The Ruth Project. We’re calling everyone to personally share what He’s doing through your gifts of time and donations. If you haven’t already heard, someone will reach out soon!
The Lord’s abundant blessings include His direction for The Ruth Project’s future. We had thought we’d be moved to The Farm by now, but HE has other plans! While the land we considered is not where He wants us, we are not discouraged.
Instead, we wait “as sure as the watchman waits for the sunrise,” (Psalm 130:6), knowing that the Lord has the perfect spot for us.
We continue to do His footwork as we expectantly wait for the land! We have The Farm down payment ready for when He says, “GO!” In the meantime, please persevere in prayer with us. We do not want to move forward or to the left or right without clear direction!
We also ask that you pray:
- As we prepare to welcome over 300 kids to the Ruth Storehouse beginning October 1 for Fall/Winter shopping appointments. Many of you know it’s a gargantuan effort to “flip the floor”– may the Lord multiply our time and help it go smoothly!
- The Lord will bless our efforts and plans as we schedule our Fall Family Support Events. We have our regulars like Dash and Dine, but also new ones like an October Family Hayride and Chicago Electric Boat Tour Day. Pray our families be encouraged and take these opportunities to make family memories!
- The Lord has favor on our Orphan Sunday initiative. We want to spread the word about The Ruth Project to local churches and community organizations. Pray for their desire to recognize God’s love for orphans this November, and an openness to sharing our Ruth Project video during their services or events.
I am overwhelmed with gratitude for you. The Ruth Project would not exist without each and every one of you! Thank you for joining us in abundantly caring for children as we provide them with hope and dignity and give relief to their families.

July 11th Update

A few Amazing God Stories...
50 Donors joined The Farm Campaign, every gift has made an impact!
8 young adults from our local school district’s special needs class come monthly to serve at The Ruth Project. They are such a joy to us each month as are their paraworkers. After hearing about The Farm Campaign, they raised and donated $200.00!
A large gift was given from a family’s Adoption Fund. They shared, “the Lord impressed upon us that the savings was not for one child, but for many!”
25 years ago, two men sold their company. This month they received a 30 Day Final Notice to respond for unclaimed funds from the sale. From their unexpected “windfall” they donated their first fruits of $143,000 to The Ruth Project within hours of receiving the wire transfer to their banks!
June 17th Update
